Consumer Protection Washington

  • Consumer Protection Washington is dedicated to educating and alerting the public on consumer issues, scams and investigations affecting residents in Washington State.
  • Collaborators include Department of Financial Institutions, Office of the Secretary of State, Better Business Bureau, Office of the Attorney General, and others.

Whatcom County Library System digital literacy resourcesĀ 

  • Alongside University of Washington’s Center for an Informed Public and the National Science Foundation, Whatcom County Library System has created quizzes, guides, and resources on identifying and avoiding scams.

How to report a scam with the Federal Trade Commission

  • Have you been a victim of a scam or bad business practices? You can report the issue to the FTC, where that data will be shared with law enforcement and go towards investigating and bringing cases against scammers.
